Worse Than I Thought 5
We've determined that we can make objective determinations, from everything from movies to human behavior, and that many things that we think are subjective, just aren't.
Scum Buckets
So we can objectively say that some car dealers are rotten to the core. Dare we say, even worse than I thought?
Car dealerships are a prime example of the ever-escalating contempt corporations have and demonstrate towards their customers.
How do they get away with it? It's an institutional thing. They know they'll be shielded from any repercussions.
Tomi Mikula demonstrated the difficulties inherent in simply contacting those idiots in a recent video. He called a dealer and was transferred by the receptionist to a salesperson. He talked to him for five minutes, giving details and such. It turned out he was not talking to a salesperson, so he had to get transferred again and had to give his details all over again.
Then he asked to be transferred to "new car sales" at another dealership, but didn't get a representative from new car sales.
Of course that isn't the end of the pain and humiliation. They say making it difficult on the phone is a tactic to get people into the dealership, but if so, it's still an abusive and insulting strategy.
Tomi uses some of the more reprehensible idiot dealers and salesmen as fodder for his videos that convince people to use his car-buying service.
You'd think these dummies would know to shut up, and you have to wonder how some can climb so high as to be dealership owners, but it is what it is.
Of course, it's not just Mikula that runs into trouble. An investigation uncovers six of the worst recent dealers/dealer employees:
Dom
Vic of Weston Nissan
Ellie the Hag & Hag Daughter
The Loan Doctor
Chevy Dude
Cape Coral Nissan
Dom
Ridiculous fart "Dom" (Dominic Franchella) of Stamford Ford in Connecticut thinks he's a sage, as he gives out unasked-for "advice" to everyone unfortunate enough to have to listen to his blathering. "Improve only 1% a day. In a year, that's 365% improvement!" Good thing he originally wanted to be a history teacher instead of a math teacher, because the exponential growth math works to 36.78x, or 3678%, not 365%.
These smarmy buggers are so used to manipulating the public, they're giddy with duper's delight.
To think, this abomination is giving out advice on ethics to actual legitimate businesses.
Vic (Victor Ramirez of Weston Nissan & Creepy Carolina)
Vic went on an uncontrolled rant of hate against Tomi. No substance, no logic, no facts. A lot of passive aggression there, trying to be clever. They like to throw in the unexpected cuss word too, after Tomi explicitly said YouTube may penalize a creator for allowing swearing. This isn't honest disagreement and discourse; human garbage like this tries everything in their power with their dirty tricks to discredit Tomi and hurt his business, as they'll do for anyone who gets in the way of their dirty dealings.
Apparently, Vic got discharged from Weston Nissan, but these salesmen move around all the time anyway. It's not like he'll have trouble, if he was actually fired, finding another locale from which to make people's lives miserable.
Yet, despite the stupidity, some wretch "Tech Director" from the dealership demanded a chance to argue, whine, and moan against Tomi, and make Weston look even worse than it already did. Strangely, she came in hot 'n frisky, eager to argue, not even understanding what Tomi's business actually does.
Yelp is telling (don't look at the fake 5-star reviews, but the many 1-star ones).
Hag
Saleswoman Ellie Shafiee (formerly) of Porsche Downtown L.A. was incredibly rude on the phone to Tomi, and got her silly azz fired. At least some dealers have some common sense. A search reveals quotes from customers like:
"Never heard a car salesman speak to customers like she does. Extremely rude and either ill informed or a complete shyster."
"Worst salesperson I've ever experienced!!"
"She is rude, condescending, and lies."
What happens? The hag's hag daughter called to confront Tomi, reading off an A.I. script in an effort to harvest "incriminating evidence" as fodder for a lawsuit against him. She managed to make as much of a fool of herself as the mother.
Loan Doctor
The Loan Doctor 🩺 · Creator
lets stick to facts. Avg MSRP in US is $49220. Tomi claims to save between 5-10% off MSRP which would be $3691. the avg discount online without any negotiation in Florida is 7.4%, and nationally 6%, therefore he is saving you between $51 and $728, and charging you $1000 for the privilege. in addition to that you may have to drive 3 states away to save that little bit. His savings are totally rooted in telling you not to buy the very things he built a career selling. Let that sink in.
Listen to this bloviating dwerp, "lets stick to facts." What needs to sink into that moron's impermeable skull is that you can't make a blanket statement about "average discount," when every deal is unique. Some people are even willing to pay over sticker for something they want right now.
What's mind-blowing is that there are people stupid enough to fall for the BS of "Loan Doctor" Seth Gwaltney, who claims to be retired. Why is he then still online, dispensing his "wisdom" to the "dummies," as he calls the public?
It only takes a second to blow the "cover" off this louse.
His "retired" branding is a marketing tactic designed to lower your guard.
The Strategy Behind the Branding -- The Illusion of Neutrality: By claiming to be "retired" or acting as an outside "advocate," he positions himself as an objective expert who is just trying to help the consumer navigate the tricky car-buying process.
The Reality of His Role: Public professional profiles like Gwaltney's LinkedIn show that he is actively employed as a National Business Manager for General RV Center, and has worked as an F&I/Finance Manager for major automotive dealerships like Brandon Ford.
Well, if people believe swindlers like Jim Cramer, Bill Gates, Fauci, and politicians, I guess they're gullible enough to fall for that turd, whose secret business appears to be a loan hustler, convincing people to get in over their heads. Who knew they'd need an entire apparatus for P.R. like this? Because Gwaltney isn't the only one.
Chevy Dude
Is there no limit to how rotten these humanoids are?
Crappy used car dealer and despicable goof Mike Davenport, "Chevy Dude," who, like mosquitoes and leeches, is a member of the phylum of pestilent sucking creatures, told Tomi, "I would love to expose you in front of all these people." Tomi calls him up to debate him online, and Davenport disappears into hiding.
The imbecile Davenport says people are "weirdos" for reading their finance contract before signing, when really they're weirdos for having anything to do with the fool in the first place.
Nissan of Cape Coral Incident
This viral dealership controversy represents a PR disaster and major public relations headache, yet again, for Nissan Motor. Though Nissan of Cape Coral is an independently owned franchise operated by the Krause Auto Group, not corporate Nissan Motor Co., any bad PR can't be any good for the embattled carmaker.
The Conflict: A local couple left a 1-star review regarding transmission issues on a used Ram van. The dealership’s general manager, Blake Taylor (apparently a pseudonym for Blake Varnadoe), retaliated by coordinating fake 1-star review attacks against the couple’s small upholstery business, getting friends to help out.
Going Viral: Tiffany exposed the retaliation on TikTok, drawing millions of views and massive public outrage.
The husband went to the dealer to protest the reviews, and they chased him out the door, threatening, "You have so many more one-star reviews coming to your business!"
Review Bombing: Internet users flooded the dealership's review pages with negative ratings. The parent company, Krause Auto Group, placed the general manager on leave, issued a formal public apology, and reached out to the couple to make amends.
In the official public statement, Chief Operating Officer Zack Krause stated they took immediate "corrective action". However, the company did not explicitly state whether Taylor was fired, drawing heavy criticism and skepticism from the online community.
Ram mechanics officially diagnosed it as needing complete, major transmission replacement and mechanical repairs. In its public apology, Krause Auto Group confirmed it personally contacted Robert and Tiffany Maillet to establish a direct line of communication. The corporate team took over the case to financially resolve the mechanical issues and right the situation, though the exact confidential settlement terms were kept private.
Public outrage is pretty uniform. "What Blake Taylor did was so stupid and immature, what an idiot. Sue the crap out that Nissan of Cape Coral, Tiffany and Robert. Good luck."
"Customers Want Coffee Not Discounts"
I left a 3 star review at dodge dealership service department. The next time I came back the service writer challenged me. He said if you have a problem come to them first. My response was don’t ask for for reviews that could possibly help your business if a less than perfect score triggers a negative response to a customer youtube comment.
Funny they can track things like that, but can't track the cars on their lots, as when they called the swat team on a guy who had just bought his dream truck and got swatted by goons.
I too had a dealer demand a 5-star review when I bought a car. They complained that anything less than 5 out of 5 got them in trouble. I just provided an honest review on the survey, which of course was not "perfect." Oh, to help understand the level of incompetence, note that when I took the car to their "service department" to change the oil, they overfilled it. (Or did they merely add oil without changing it?)
Dirty Tricks
Delivrd is going to face many dirty tricks and tactics by dealers. It wouldn't be surprising if one arranged for someone to buy a car through Delivrd to leave a bad review or try to sue him. That's how scummy these dealer bastiches are.
These salesmen are low-intelligence-quotient folk, high ego-quotient, sociopathic. Like the radioactive freak ranting here.
